Racing Integrity Commissioner’s Final Report into Live Baiting in Greyhound Racing in Victoria released today.
The Minister for Racing, the Hon. Martin Pakula MP will today table in Parliament, the Racing Integrity Commissioner’s Final Report on the Commissioner’s Own Motion Inquiry into Live Baiting in Greyhound Racing in Victoria.
The Commissioner’s inquiry commenced following the live baiting allegations that were aired on the ABC Four Corners program on Monday 16 February 2015.
The Final Report builds on the interim findings and recommendations arising from the Own Motion Inquiry which commenced on Tuesday 17 February 2015 and outlined a preliminary analysis of information and intelligence collected up to midday on Friday 6 March 2015.
The Commissioner’s Final Report, delivered to the Minister on 29 May 2015, endorses the interim six recommendations and makes an additional 12 recommendations.
The Racing Integrity Commissioner, Sal Perna, will hold a media conference at the Department of Justice & Regulation Media Centre, Level 2, 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne at 12.30pm.
A full copy of the Final report will be uploaded to the Office of the Racing Integrity Commissioner website (www.racingintegrity.vic.gov.au) after tabling of the report.
