The Commissioner provides independent assurance of the racing controlling bodies' integrity processes and systems through the conduct of audits, investigations and inquiries.
The Racing Act 1958 (Section 37C) gives the Racing Integrity Commissioner the power to carry out their functions as outlined in Act, and to do all things necessary or convenient in order for them to carry out those functions.
